Mbopy / Product & Activity Rules

Only lawful, safe commerce belongs on Mbopy.

This policy describes products, services and conduct that Mbopy may restrict, require evidence for, or prohibit.

Effective date: 1 September 2026

Merchant responsibility

Merchants must ensure that every listing, offer and fulfilment activity is lawful in the market where it is offered and delivered. They must hold required licences, permits, approvals, product information and safety documentation before listing a regulated product or service.

Mbopy may ask for evidence at any time and may remove, limit or suspend a listing or account while it reviews a risk. Verification or visibility on Mbopy is not an approval, certification or guarantee of legality.

Prohibited products & conduct

You may not list, promote, sell, ship or facilitate counterfeit, stolen, illegal, unsafe, recalled, fraudulent, misleading or rights-infringing goods or services. You may not use Mbopy to evade taxes, launder funds, divert payments, deceive buyers, manipulate reviews or collect data unlawfully.

  • Counterfeit or pirated goods; stolen goods; fake documents or credentials
  • Unlawful weapons, explosives, controlled substances or other restricted dangerous goods
  • Illegal gambling, fraud schemes, cash-equivalent scams or unlicensed financial services
  • Products that infringe intellectual-property, privacy, consumer-protection or product-safety rules

Regulated or restricted categories

Certain categories may be permitted only after additional review, only for eligible merchants, or not at all in particular markets. These can include health-related goods, food, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, telecommunications equipment, financial services, transport, education, professional services and age-restricted products.

The merchant must not list a regulated category until it has supplied all requested evidence and received any required approval from Mbopy. A category may be restricted further by local law, a payment provider or a logistics partner.

Reporting & enforcement

Report a suspicious or unsafe listing through Mbopy support with the listing reference and available evidence. Mbopy may preserve records, remove content, pause payouts, restrict access, cooperate with lawful requests and take any other measure permitted by the Terms and applicable law.

Repeated or serious violations can lead to permanent account closure and may expose the merchant to contractual or legal consequences.
